Paddy Miller and Thomas Wedell-Wedellsborg
Innovation as Usual is the result of a 7 year long collaboration between the two authors as they worked as academics, researchers and hands-on advisers to companies all across the world. Much of the collaboration has taken place at IESE Business School where the authors work.
Paddy Miller is a Professor based in Barcelona, Spain at IESE Business School, University of Navarra, ranked as one of the top schools in the world. His main interests lie in the area of innovation, leadership and organisational change and he has many years of international experience in these areas. He has taught leadership and general management courses on the senior executive programmes at IESE as well as at Harvard Business School, MIT and the Darden School in Virginia. He has authored and co-authored several other books, including Mission Critical Leadership published by McGraw Hill.
Miller is a corporate speaker and has been a keynote speaker at the World Innovation Forum in New York, the Creative Innovation Conference in Melbourne and the HR Directors’ Summit in Birmingham, UK. In-company assignments have included Abbott Laboratories, Bacardi, Coca Cola China, Bosch-Siemens, Bulgari, Ericsson, Santander Bank, Nike, L’Oreal, Thyssen-Krupp, Volkswagen AG, 3i Plc and CitiCorp.
Presently Miller has major projects in the US, Europe and Asia. He is a board member of various institutions and companies including the Institute of Media and Entertainment in New York, and is on the Advisory Board of Vivaldi Partners in New York.
Thomas Wedell-Wedellsborg is a Lecturer at IESE Business School and Partner at The Innovation Architects. An expert in corporate creativity, Wedell-Wedellsborg has worked with managers in nearly all parts of the globe, including China, India, Russia, Singapore, Britain, France, and his native country, Denmark. His research has been published in the Financial Times and in Harvard Business Review.
Mr. Wedell-Wedellsborg is a frequent corporate speaker and has delivered keynotes at events such as HP’s European Executive Partner Summit, Johnson & Johnson’s HCS Fall Leadership Meeting, and Egmont Group’s 2012 Management Conference.
Mr. Wedell-Wedellsborg holds an MBA from IESE Business School and an MA in Media Science from the University of Copenhagen. He serves as an advisor to BBC Worldwide Labs and the product innovation firm Prehype. Prior to his business career, he served for four years as an officer and infantry platoon commander with the Danish Royal Guards.
